Public Information Meeting: Development proposal at Nicholas Street & Cumberland Street

Homes First Development Corporation will hold a public information meeting for a development proposal at Nicholas Street and Cumberland Street on Wednesday, August 28 at 6 pm at the Picton Town Hall (2 Ross Street).

The proposed development is situated on an irregularly shaped site located generally southwest of the intersection of Nicholas Street and Cumberland Street in Picton. A smaller triangular shaped portion of the site is located on the north side of Cumberland Street. Click here to see a diagram of the site.

The proposed development would consist of a medium-density rental housing project with a range of unit types. The proposal consists of a townhouse block and a semi-detached building that fronts onto Nicholas Street, and a low-rise apartment building that would be accessed from a new road extension.

This public meeting is an information meeting only. Public information meetings are held as part of the updated planning application process.

At a public information meeting, the proponent/agent will present the proposal. If any member of the public would like to ask questions or make comments, they will be able to do so after the presentation by the applicant.

The statutory public meeting required under the Planning Act will be a Planning Committee meeting and would only be held after the public information meeting and when the assigned County planner has completed an analysis of the project.
