Community Action Projects

Community Action Projects

Community Action Projects is a new initiative designed to support resident-led projects that contribute to the goals of the Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Plan in Prince Edward County. This pilot program aims to empower residents and grassroots groups to take action on local priorities by providing small-scale funding for creative, inclusive, and community-driven initiatives.

The CSWB Plan identifies key areas of focus to improve safety and well-being across the County.

  • Seniors Support
  • Housing & Homelessness
  • Domestic Violence / Sexual Violence / Intimate Partner Violence
  • Mental Health & Problematic Substance Use
  • Poverty Reduction (including Food Security)

This program encourages residents to work together to address these priorities in ways that are meaningful to their communities. Whether it’s a neighbourhood gathering, a wellness workshop, a local awareness campaign, or a creative project that builds connection and resilience—your ideas and actions matter.

  • Strengthen community connections and collaboration
  • Support resident leadership and civic engagement
  • Address local safety and well-being priorities through grassroots action
  • Foster inclusive and accessible initiatives that reflect the diversity of Prince Edward County
  • Support residents, including those with lived experience related to the Community Safety and Well-being Plan priority areas, to lead, design, and implement solutions that are meaningful to you and your community

Funding of up to $500 is available to support eligible projects. Proposals must demonstrate community involvement and alignment with one or more CSWB priority areas.
