Zoning By-law Amendment Z2-22 (Short Term Accommodations)

On June 15, 2022 there will be a report to Planning Committee with considerations of potential changes to the Short-Term Accommodation (STA) provisions in the Comprehensive Zoning by-law 1816-2006, based on the Council direction from the March 10, 2022 and May 12, 2022 Committee of Whole meetings.

The proposed changes include removing provisions from the zoning by-law and placing them into By-law 108-2021, which is entitled Licensing, Regulate and Govern the Operation of Short-Term Accommodation Dwelling Rentals in the County of Prince Edward (Licensing By-law). Staff are also proposing to restrict STA’S in the Urban Residential Type 3 (R3) Zone.
