The municipality reminds the public about the importance of meeting all permit requirements before undertaking work within the municipal road allowance. Permits help ensure that work within the municipal road allowance is completed safely, properly, and without damage to public infrastructure. They also allow the municipality to coordinate work, minimize disruptions, and protect the safety of all road users.
In addition, a road occupancy permit is required for temporary use or occupation of municipal property, even if no digging or construction is involved.
