The Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC), including the walking track will be closed for general access on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12 as the facility hosts the 2026 Prince Edward County Quilter’s Guild Quilt Show.
The event is open to the public; however, admission is required for entry during these dates.
The WDCC (111 Belleville Street) and the walking track will resume regular hours (7 am – 4 pm, daily) on Monday, July 13.
If there is extreme heat on these dates, the public is invited to visit the following spots in Wellington to get relief from the high temperatures:
- Wellington Rotary Beach (1 Beach Street)
- Shady areas at Wellington Park (251 Wellington Main Street)
- Wellington branch of the Prince Edward County Public Library (261 Wellington Main Street) on Saturday, July 11 between 10 am and 4 pm. The library is closed on Sundays.
- Wellington Heritage Museum (290 Wellington Main Street). Open Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm.
The Scotiabank ATM will be accessible to the public during the event.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
