The County reminds residents to call before they dig

The County reminds residents that they must contact Ontario One Call for a utility locate before they dig or break ground on any project. It is against the law to dig without a locate.

Whether you are digging for a new fence, patio, garden, tree planting or aerating your lawn, you must contact Ontario One Call. Never assume it is safe to dig. Hazards like gas and utility lines can be buried just below the surface of your lawn.

Locates are free and easy to book through Ontario One Call. Residents can request a locate online at www.ontarioonecall.ca or by calling the Ontario One Call 24/7 contact centre at 1.800.400.2255.
