Learn more about Bloomfield Main Street rehabilitation at second public information centre

March 16, 2026

The County of Prince Edward will share more details about the construction schedule and the staging plans for the Bloomfield Main Street rehabilitation project at the second public information centre (PIC) on Monday, March 23.

The in-person PIC will take place from 6 – 8 pm at the Bloomfield Town Hall (289 Bloomfield Main Street). Staff will provide a presentation starting at 6:30 pm.

Following the in-person PIC, a virtual event will occur on Thursday, March 26 beginning at 6 pm. Please use this link to access the session.

The scope of the work between Corey Street and County Road 33 includes:

  • Removal of existing asphalt surface
  • Placement of 100mm of new hot mix asphalt
  • Replacement of approximately 10 storm sewer sections
  • Replacement of deteriorated curb sections
  • Minor sidewalk panel replacements
  • Replacement of west boulevard with new asphalt
  • Replacement of east boulevard with stamped concrete (provisional)
  • Line painting

The work will take place between April – June 2026. The road will always remain open with one lane of traffic, and the work will be done in sections to help minimize disruption.

The Province of Ontario is covering 90 per cent of the project costs under the Connecting Links program.

Visit the project webpage to learn more. If you have any questions, please contact Garrett Osborne, Project Manager, at 613.476.2148 extension 2002 or email gosborne@pecounty.on.ca.
