PECelebrates returns June 21 – July 1

June 12, 2025

PECelebrates, a celebration of community, cultures and Canada, will take place June 21 – July 1 across Prince Edward County.

PECelebrates features a variety of events and activities that mark Indigenous History Month, Indigenous Persons Day, Pride Month, Multiculturalism Day, and Canada Day.

Details about the PECelebrates Festival are now available on the municipal website.

Featured events includes a Drumming Circle and concert celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day, Pride in the Park, the Wellington Street Dance and Fireworks Show, and Canada Day celebrations in Picton and Wellington.

Tom Wilson Mohawk Symphony and Drumming Circle presented by The Regent Theatre (Saturday, June 21)

Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day in the County with Tom Wilson, renowned musician, artist, and storyteller. Tom brings the discovery of his Mohawk heritage to life through the Mohawk Symphony. This innovative work blends personal narratives, classical influences, and contemporary sounds, creating a musical tapestry that resonates deeply with audiences.

Everyone is welcome to come early to experience a drumming circle at no cost. Please note, tickets must be purchased to attend the concert. Time and location details to be announced on the PECelebrates event page soon!

 

Pride in the Park (Saturday, June 28)

The Greater Than County Youth Collective is proud to present their fourth annual Pride in the Park on Saturday, June 28. The event will begin with an all-ages parade taking place from 12 pm to 1 pm. The parade will start at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute (41 Barker Street) and work its way to Delhi Park (7 Lalor Street). Pride in the Park will then take place at Delhi Park from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. There will be lawn games and other fun activities for all ages. This event is presented in partnership with the Picton BIA.

 

Wellington Street Dance & Fireworks Show (Monday, June 30)

The Wellington Recreation Committee is excited to continue a great County tradition, the Wellington Street Dance and Fireworks Show. The event will begin on Monday, June 30 at 5:30 pm with live music by Cue the Funk under the gazebo at Wellington Park (243 Wellington Main Street). The evening wraps up with fireworks at Wellington Rotary Beach (1 Beach Street).

 

Canada Day in Wellington (Tuesday, July 1)

The Wellington Recreation Committee presents the annual Canada Day parade beginning at 10:30 am. The parade will be followed by Music in the Park at 12 pm presented by the Prince Edward County Lions Club featuring music by The Rickartons. BBQ hotdogs and water will be available by donation.

Canada Day in Picton (Tuesday, July 1)

Canada Day in Picton is presented by the Picton Recreation Committee. Come join in the fun with activities for all ages downtown Picton from 12 pm to 4pm! This is a Canada Day celebration for everyone! There will be live music and fun activities for all ages! Everyone is welcome at this free community event!
