Planning and Development Committee to meet April 16

March 26, 2025

The Planning and Development Committee will hold a meeting pursuant to Sections 34 and 50 of the Planning Act on Wednesday, April 16.

The meeting will follow the new process introduced in January 2025:

  • The portion of the Planning and Development Committee meeting dedicated to statutory public meetings will now begin at 6 pm instead of 7 pm.
  • The portion of the Planning and Development Committee meeting dedicated to decision meetings will begin immediately following the statutory public meetings.
  • The Planning and Development Committee will not make a decision on any statutory public meeting matters. The applications will come back to a future Planning and Development Committee meeting for its recommendation to Council regarding a decision.

A statutory public meeting will take place for the following application on April 16:

Application #1

  • Address: 19538 Loyalist Parkway (Ward 7 Hillier)
  • Applicant: Blocknote Canada Inc. o/a Redtail Winery
  • Purpose: To create a vacant land condominium. The condominium would separate the various legal entities that comprise the Blocknote Canada Inc. development and tie them to common elements such as the road and the shared amenities. Concurrently, applications for Site Plan Control (SP-19-24), and a Zoning By-law Amendment (Z33-24) to remove a Holding provision are under review

The meeting will begin at 6 pm at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) with the live stream on the municipality’s YouTube channel. Members of the public who wish to provide comments can do so by contacting clerks@pecounty.on.ca to register.

The public is invited to participate in-person, virtually, and/or through written comments submitted to the respective planner prior to the meeting.

Members of the public who wish to speak at the public meeting, either in-person or virtually, are encouraged to register by contacting clerks@pecounty.on.ca by noon on Tuesday, April 15. Upon registering to speak at the meeting, members of the public will be emailed instructions on attending the meeting in person or a unique link and directions for participating in the meeting via Zoom.
