The Planning and Development Committee will hold a meeting pursuant to Sections 34 and 53 of the Planning Act on Wednesday, October 15.
The meeting will follow the new process that was introduced in January 2025. The meeting will begin at 6 pm at Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street) with the live stream on the municipality’s YouTube channel. Members of the public who wish to provide comments can do so by contacting clerks@pecounty.on.ca to register.

Another item for consideration at the October 15 meeting is the Comprehensive Zoning By-law. The municipality is developing a new Comprehensive Zoning By-law to regulate land use in Prince Edward County based on current provincial legislation, regulations, and guidelines as well as the municipality’s Official Plan and Secondary Plans, and local needs. The current 2006 Comprehensive Zoning By-law shall be repealed.
