Reduced load restrictions will be in place on several County roads as of Monday, February 5.
During the reduced load period, loads are restricted to 5 tonnes per axle.
- Effective February 5, reduced load restrictions will be in effect on all sideroads (surface treated roads and gravel roads) as well as select paved County roads including 13, 16, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 32, 35.
- The following County roads are not subject to load restrictions: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34.
- The load restrictions will be lifted when weather and road conditions are favourable for full loads, which is typically on or around April 30.
- This restriction does not apply to those who haul potable water, septage, or heating fuel for residential and institutional uses.
- The County may grant commodity producers and distributors an exemption to transport perishable or market-sensitive commodities that cannot reasonably be divided during the reduced load period.
