UPDATE: Head Street (Picton) closure now taking place April 23-24

April 21, 2026

April 21, 2026

A section of Head Street in Picton will be closed on Thursday, April 23 through Friday, April 24 during the installation of the new fuel dock.

Please note: this closure was originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 through Wednesday, April 22; however, those dates have changed and there will be no closure on April 21 or 22.

The closure will affect most of the property located at 1 Head Street. During this time:

  • On‑site parking for trailers and vehicles will not be permitted.
  • The boat launch will be inaccessible.

Pedestrian access may be temporarily disrupted, particularly for those using the boardwalk and the waterfront pathway. The municipality will make every effort to maintain safe pedestrian access around the work area.

This installation is part of ongoing preparations for the 2026 boating season. The Picton Marina will offer fuel, pump-outs, and docking as of Saturday, May 2. The marina will be open daily from 8 am to 6:30 pm. Staff training will take place on Friday, May 1 and limited services such as fuel and pump-outs will be available at this time.
