The County of Prince Edward is rehabilitating Bloomfield Main Street from Corey Street to Wellington Street.
The municipality is providing the following project updates from the past week:
- Portions of curb and sidewalk that were removed, were reinstated this week.
The project remains on schedule with work slated to be completed by mid-June 2026.
The following work is scheduled to take place from May 4 – 8:
- Remaining concrete curb and sidewalk panels will be reinstated
Parking during construction
Throughout construction, free parking is available at the following locations:
- Emmanuel Baptist Church (240 Bloomfield Main St, Bloomfield)
- 257 Bloomfield Main St, Bloomfield (Beside Bloomfield Public House)
- Bloomfield Town Hall (289 Bloomfield Main St, Bloomfield)

Throughout the week, single-lane closures in the active work zone will continue. All businesses along Bloomfield Main Street remain open.
Driveways may be temporarily blocked during work. The contractor will provide advance notification to residents and businesses directly impacted by temporary driveway blockages.

The municipality is resurfacing Bloomfield Main Street from Corey Street to Wellington Street in 2026. The project will also include line painting, storm sewer repairs, concrete curb and sidewalk repairs. Learn more about the project.
