Consultations are now taking place to inform the development of the next iteration of Prince Edward County’s Community Safety and Well-being Plan for 2027-2030. CSWB plans are legislated by the province through Ontario’s Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019.
Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Plans act as roadmaps for making life safer, healthier and more supportive for everyone. They are shared plans that bring local organizations, service providers, and residents together to prevent problems before they happen and to make sure people get the right help at the right time. It looks at the big picture — things like basic needs, mental health, education, and community belonging — because these are the real factors that shape safety and well-being.
Residents are encouraged to participate through the online Have Your Say platform, by picking up a printed survey from any library branch or Shire Hall, or by attending a public consultation.
