Council award tender PEC-OPS-16-26 (Supply and Delivery of Fuel) to Rosebush Energies.
Report: Winter Maintenance (Parking Lot Plowing) Tender Award
Council award tender OPS-15-26 (Winter Maintenance), to 2842793 Ontario Inc. (Clintar Commercial Outdoor Services).
Recommendation: Water & Wastewater Rates Community Committee regarding Water and Wastewater Rates By-Law – One Year Interim (2027)
Council adopted a one-year Water and Wastewater Rates By-law for the 2027 year.
Council directed staff to undertake a Water and Wastewater Rate Study, By-law review and administrative edits, and Development Charges Background Study in 2027 following Council direction on long-term servicing, affordability and growth projection.
Recommendation: Built & Cultural heritage Advisory Committee regarding a Request to the Province to Extend the Deadline for Notices of Intention to Designate Listed Heritage Properties
It was resolved that the Prince Edward County Council request that the Province of Ontario further amend the Ontario Heritage Act to extend the January 1, 2027 deadline to January 1, 2030 for issuing Notices of Intention to Designate for properties listed on the municipal heritage non-designated register.
Recommendation: Built & Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee regarding the Prince Edward County Heritage Awards
Council directed staff to promote a call for nominations for the 2026 Heritage Awards through all available communications channels. Staff were also directed to prepare and receive applications for review by the Built & Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee.

Council deferred report FIN-18-2026 and report FIN 13-2026 regarding the Council Remuneration to the June 23, 2026 Council meeting.

Council received the report.
Report: Proposed Amendments to By-Law 77-2021, a By-Law to Regulate and Control Open-Air Burning
Council directed staff to explore adding language to permit burn barrels during partial burn bans.
The “Open Air Burning By-Law”, as amended, would then be brought forward for enactment at the next feasible County meeting.
Reports arising from Closed Session
Council directed the Chief Administrative Officer to further develop an implementation plan based on the opportunities in the Municipal VU Consulting Inc. regarding the Service Delivery and Organizational Review Final Report and periodically report back to Council for information.
The next Regular Meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 7 pm at Shire Hall, 332 Main Street, Picton.
The next Committee of the Whole meeting will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 1 pm at Shire Hall.
