Study begins for intersection improvements at Highway 62 and County Road 1

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has launched a detail design study for improvements to the Highway 62 and County Road 1 intersection.

This study is a follow-up to the preliminary design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) completed in 2024. The preliminary design identified a roundabout as the recommended plan.

The detail design study will refine the design of the roundabout in the recommended plan, develop construction staging plans, and outline environmental protection and mitigation measures.

One Public Information Centre (PIC) is planned as part of the detail design study. The notice of the PIC will be advertised in local newspapers and sent to the study contact list.

MTO is asking for the public to participate in the study and to provide comments in writing to the project team. If you wish to have your name added to the project mailing list or have questions about the study, please contact:
