Picton Main Street Reconstruction - Johnson Street to Spencer Street
The County of Prince Edward is reconstructing Picton Main Street from Johnson Street to 250 metres east of Spencer Street in 2023 and 2024.
The project will include:
- Installation of new underground infrastructure including watermains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers.
- After that work is complete, the roadway will be reconstructed with new concrete curb and gutters, concrete sidewalks, and a new an asphalt roadway surface.

- Tendered Contract Cost: $11,214,900 + HST
Phase 2 work will begin late August with completion in November 2023.
RW Tomlinson Limited, the contractor for this project, will complete the work in three phases to minimize the impact to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
The areas that are under reconstruction during the phases of this project will be closed to through traffic. Local traffic and pedestrian traffic will still be allowed.
Phase 1: Construction will be conducted between Johnson Street and Bay Street from June 5 until late August. View the detour route map for Phase 1
Phase 2: Construction will be conducted between Bay Street and Spencer Street beginning in late August with completion in November 2023.
Phase 3: Construction between Spencer Street and approximately 250 metres east of Spencer Street will take place in 2024.
