Rossmore Stormwater Master Servicing Plan

The County has initiated a Stormwater Master Servicing Plan under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) process for the community of Rossmore.

The County awarded the contract to J.L. Richards and Associates Ltd. in October 2024. Notice of Study Commencement issued November 2024.
Project Details:
The purpose of this study is to identify improvements to the stormwater system in Rossmore that are required to provide adequate discharge control into the Bay of Quinte and accommodate planned growth in the community to the year 2048.
Process
The County is conducting this study according to the requirements of Phase 1 and 2 of the MCEA process, which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. This study is being completed with sufficient detail to fulfill the requirements for Schedule ‘B’ MCEA projects (Approach 2).

Public Consultation
Public and agency consultation is a key part of the process. Input will be sought throughout the study to inform the evaluation of alternative solutions.
