Project Overview

The current phase of rehabilitating County Road 3 resumes at the western limit of the previous work (approximately civic address 1460) on the west side of Rednersville and extends west for approximately 1.1 km to civic address 1668. The project scope includes full removal and replacement of the existing roadway asphalt surface as well as ditching improvements, culvert replacements, and paved shoulders.

In addition, Council has approved a further 2.0 km of rehabilitation on County Road 3 as part of the 2026 Capital Budget. This segment is presently in the design phase, with construction tentatively scheduled for 2027.

Project Impacts

Vehicle Traffic:

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane for the majority of construction. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers or temporary traffic signals, alternating lane directions.

Pedestrians and Cyclists:

There are no sidewalks in this area.

Bicycle traffic will be accommodated in a similar manner to vehicles. However, cyclists are advised that the road will be a gravel surface during the rehabilitation.
