The County of Prince Edward reminds residents to have their garbage, green bin, and properly sorted blue boxes out to the curb by 7 am on collection day to ensure pickup.
- Garbage is collected weekly in the County. Each week, residents may place a maximum of two bags per week at the curb and commercial businesses may place a maximum of five bags per week at the curb.
- All bags must have a visible tag. Tags should not be halved or rolled in on themselves. Bag tag purchase locations can be found on the County website.
- Garbage bags should be tightly sealed and weigh no more than 40lbs when filled.
- Large items are not collected at the curb and must be taken to a landfill or transfer station. For information on the landfills and a list of accepted items, please click here.
- Residents are reminded that electronic waste is accepted at the South Marysburgh (1132 Old Milford Road) and Sophiasburgh (35 County Road 14) waste sites during regular hours of operation.
- Hazardous waste will not be accepted and can be brought to the Belleville Hazardous & Electronic Waste Depot during operating hours or a mobile event.
